The AI Innovation Center at UCLA is a partnership between SAIR and UCLA, and a regional hub for Los Angeles where university research meets the builders, industry partners, and investors
who turn it into companies. It connects students, faculty, and the wider campus ecosystem with capital, compute, and mentorship, and brings UCLA, its neighboring institutions, and the LA
technology community into one place.
The Kick-Off on October 16 brings scientists, builders, industry, and investors to campus for a day of keynotes, fireside chats, and panels on how frontier research becomes companies,
closing with a dinner for speakers and invited guests. The same day, the Center co-organizes the inaugural AI Agent Gaming Competition with the
UCLA Trustworthy AI Lab, opening its program of hands-on building with a competition that puts autonomous agents to the test in
gaming environments.
